Walking out of Emirates on Tuesday, the freezing conditions chilling me to the bone, I did wonder what it must be like for the people who have no home at this time of year.
Christmas is around the corner and even if you’re not a believer, it’s a time when people get together and share in goodwill and remember about the important things in life.
Which is why I was delighted when Arsenal announced that their charity for this year would be Centrepoint, which helps homeless youngsters.
The Fulham game is going to be a day of giving and donations with a specially released hat being sold at the club shops – as modelled here by AA23.
Arsenal are showing their class again with players and directors donating a day’s wages and while I don’t expect many Addicts will be able to afford to do that as well, every penny counts.
Denilson has also generously donated a trip for two to Dubai including three nights’ stay at the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah Resort and all you have to do is text the word ‘Arsenal’ to 83023. At least £1.50 from each text will go to Centrepoint.
You can also donate at: http://www.beagoonerbeagiver.org/ and when you’re at home tonight in the warm, spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourselves.
