Arsenal rest players, so who should start to win Portuguese challenge?

By Graham McNorthbank

Arsenal take on Braga in Portugal tonight knowing that us Gooners need something to lift the gloom of the weekend's shock home defeat to the Spuds.

We've never won in Portugal in the Champions League, so a victory tonight would not only be a lift, but the guaranteed qualification for the knock out rounds will go a long way to putting the North London derby behind us.

The Gunners travelled to the game without Gael Clichy who has been ruled out of the game with a back problem, meaning a return to first team action for the youngster.

Also left behind in London are Andrey Arshavin and Robin van Persie, although according to the official club website Le Boss has decided to rest the pair, rather than them being crocked.

Intriguingly, Aaron Ramsey was pictured in training with the team yesterday, hinting that he may be included in tonight's squad, but I'd imagine if he is the best he could hope for would be a cameo late on in the game.

With Lukasz Fabinski in goal, speculation has it that Emmanuel Eboue will replace Bacary Sagna at right back and Johan Djourou will oust Larent Koscielny, both of which I'd go along with if I'm honest.

In midfield I'd recall Jack Wilshere to play alongside Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas, leaving Samir Nasri to play upfront, hopefully alongside Theo Walcott and big Nick Bendtner, allowing Marouane Chamakh to also get a rest - on the evidence of last Saturday, he may well need it.

Let us know who you think should be in Arsenal's starting line up using our comments section, but for the record here is my Addict XI:

Eboue Squillaci Djourou Gibbs
