Play Fantasy Arsene Wenger - Not so simple this evening for Gunners

By Avenell Dave

So it's going to be a walkover tonight at Emirates, weather permitting, is it?

Well that's what a lot of people think and they may well be right.

But I've been an Arsenal fan for too many years to take things for granted.

Despite sacking Gary Megson recently, Bolton aren't on a terrible run of form and if they're drilled to put players behind the ball, they could frustrate us.

And in Matt Taylor, they have a dead ball artist who could do us some damage.

It will be fascinating to see how well we cope without Alex Song.

He's gone from zero to hero in little under two years since really starting to establish himself at the club and he's now one of the first names on the team sheet.

So Denilson has a big job to do today to show he can play a defensive role and not get caught too far upfield.

In other news, I'd take the chance to play Lukasz Fabianski as well - I think he was superb at West Ham and is the future. He commands his box and looks composed, which is something we'll never be able to say about Manuel Almunia.

By all reports, Phil Senderos is leaving us and I can understand why he didn't want to get himself cup tied against West Ham on Sunday.

He's got all the attributes: height, grit and enoug pace to cope, but he always makes mistakes and that's why we've never completely warmed to him.

But I'd give him a run tonight -hell, we need to give Thomas Vermaelen a break at some stage and this gives Phil a chance to show what he can do to teams that may be thinking about him.

I'm hoping the game isn't called off - I've got my thermals ready and bovril on the boil.

Anyway, let us know who you'd choose in the comments below.
