Two nil up thanks to a slice of luck, but nobody can deny that Arsenal were the better side against Celtic last night after the Hoops failed to trouble Manuel Almunia during the first leg of our Champions League qualifier.
The Bhoys did their best to disrupt Arsenal's flowing football, but the Gunners never looked in trouble and handled the vocal crowd superbly as they got one foot through the door of the Champions League proper.
Cesc Fabregas was at the heart of every move, but once again both Denilson and Alex Song were magnificent with the latter not putting a foot wrong all night.
Thomas Vermaelen enjoyed another fantastic game and his partner in central defence William Gallas scored one of the luckier goals of his career, but the back four as a whole were excellent, snuffing out all but a couple of the home side's attempts to threaten Almunia's goal.
So the Gunners return to London knowing that as long as they can prevent Celtic from scoring twice without reply at Emirates Stadium a week today, we should be in the draw for the Champions League group stage.
