Play Fantasy Arséne Wenger – who should play against Middlesbrough?

Well I’ve already put my thoughts out there – I don’t want key players playing against Boro.

I know the result is not a given, but we absolutely cannot lose more players ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League game.

It’s good news that we’ve got some key players back – for me, Johann Djourou is key, but he’s not exactly bulletproof and if we lose him again having rushed him back too early, we’ll be in trouble against the likes of R*nald* and B*rbat*v next week. Mikael Silvestre doesn't cut it, he costs us a lot in wages and needs to be moved back to pasture in Paris.

Can you imagine if Cesc Fabregas or Kolo Toure gets injured? We’ll be done for. Simple as that. We need to wrap key players in cotton wool and in Andrey Arshavin, we have enough wit and creativity to compensate for Cesc’s absence.

Eduardo is being nursed back more slowly than at the start of his return to order not to get any more serious setbacks, but he could still play a part for us this season. He is our best finisher, our best striker, and any of you who think he is nothing more than a bit-part player are sadly mistaken.

So I say, safety first. Yes, I know how much we need to win, given that games against M*nure and Ch*vski are not exactly home bankers and that our confidence may have been knocked a little since last weekend after conceding six and, for 60% of the semi final and 50% of the Anfield game, we didn’t really turn up.

Arsenal rise to the occasion, and while we’re not favourites for the M*nure game, that has to take precedence at this stage of the season.

We have three games to save our season. Victory in all three is imperative and a huge challenge.

So my Addict team is:

Eboue Bartley Silvestre Gibbs

Wilshere Denilson Ramsey Arshavin

Bendtner Eduardo

That keeps Bacary Sagna, Djourou, Toure, Theo and Cesc available for Wednesday, and that, my fellow Addicts, is the priority...
