Arsene Wenger sounded almost as frustrated as us poor sods who actually paid to watch the Hull City game on Saturday evening.
The only word that springs to mind in light of the shock defeat is “complacency” but Le Gaffer is promising that he will make changes for tomorrow night’s Champions League clash with Porto.
The one player who seemed willing to put in the graft on Saturday was Denilson, so I hope his efforts will be rewarded with a starting place against the Portuguese side tomorrow, but elsewhere I don’t envy Wenger in deciding who should be dropped.
My candidates would include Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue, Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor, but I’d be interested to hear from you lot who you think should be made to earn their place back in the starting 11.
As for whom I’d start against Porto, see below, and if you disagree, then share your thoughts on the Porto line-up by using our comments facility.
