Huddersfield v Arsenal: Who would your starting 11 be for Gunners?

Arsene Wenger will take a 20-man squad of reserves and first team fringe players to Huddersfield tomorrow as the Arsenal help Town mark the beginning of their centenary celebrations.

With the Amsterdam Tournament taking place this weekend, Le Gaffer is resting his senior players for that trip and is taking the opportunity of the Huddersfield game to cast an eye over some of the younger squad members, possibly with the notion of adding one or two to the squad he'll take to Holland.

Indeed, with the Gunners set to face FC Twente in the qualification stage of the Champions League next week, Wenger is making his final preparations for the start to the 2008-09 season proper and any fringe players determined to make an impression on Le Boss will find no better occasion to do it than at the Galpharm Stadium tomorrow.

The 20-man squad that will travel north is:

Nacer Barazite,
Kyle Bartley, Johan Djourou, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Lukasz Fabianksi, Rui Fonte,  Emmanuel Frimpong, Kieran Gibbs, Gavin Hoyte, Justin Hoyte, Henri Lansbury, Vito Mannone, Havard Nordtveit, Aaron Ramsey, Mark Randall, Jay Simpson, Theo Walcott, Sanchez Watt, Carlos Vela and Jack Wilshere.

I've no doubt that the Arsenal coaching staff will be determined to give all 20 players some time on the pitch, but I'd like to see the strongest possible team starting the game to fittingly mark Town's 100th year, and for me, that would be:

Fabianski
J Hoyte Nordtveit Djourou Bartley
Randall Wilshere Ramsey Gibbs
Vela Walcott

And out of those, I would imagine Walcott, Wilshere, Djourou, Ramsey, Vela and, obviously, Fabianski could find themselves in Holland either for the friendlies or the Champions League match over the next few days.

But who would your starting 11 be? And which youngsters do you think might make the grade in the Arsenal first team this season? Share your comments here
