News has filtered through that Arsenal Youth Academy director Liam Brady was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning with an unknown illness.
Brady, whose legendary status as an Arsenal playmaker needs no explanation, was admitted for treatment at Dublin's Beaumont hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Brady travelled to Norway with the Republic squad for their 1-1 draw in Oslo last night and arrived back in Dublin with the rest of the coaching staff at around 2am.
"Liam Brady was feeling a bit unwell this morning and as a precautionary measure he went into hospital where he is in a stable condition, and lucid," confirmed an FAI spokesman said. It is understood Brady is being kept in for observation and tests.
