It was a fairly lacklustre performance by the Gunners at Upton Park yesterday, but we collected all three points and that's what matters most.
West Ham played well against their north London rivals and any time Arsenal did actually threaten the home team's goal, they found Robert Green in excellent form.
At the other end of the park, Manuel Almunia also performed heroics to keep a clean sheet and it wasn't until the introduction of Emmanuel Adebayor in the 67th minute that the Gunners started to take control of the game.
An own goal by the unfortunate Julien Faubert in the 75th minute was followed by an excellent Adebayor second in injury time to give Arsenal a somewhat flattering 2-0 scoreline. I'm not saying we didn't deserve to win, but 1-0 would have been a more just result.
Nonetheless, the game sets us up nicely for the derby against the Spuds on Wednesday and the good form of Adebayor, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott means that I, for one, cannot wait to see what Arsene Wenger's men can do to the league's bottom club.
Anyway, more of that tomorrow and Wednesday, but now, my fellow Addicts, is the time for you to vote for the most impressive player in Arsenal colours yesterday. I'm guessing that the Man Of The Match accolade is a foregone conclusion, but it wouldn't be the first time you've surprised me, so select your man and click on Vote.
